Implementation of an e-learning tool explaining REACH in the frame of the set up of a national helpdesk

Background

The European chemicals regulation REACH is a complex regulatory framework which defines new roles and responsibilities to industry and authorities. IN particular small and medium sized enterprises but also enforcement institutions have difficulties in understanding the requiremetns and implementing or controlling them.

The e-learning on REACh provides a fist overview of the REACh-requirements to the actors. The programme runs for approximately 30 minutes and is divided into a general part on chemial risks an a specific part on the REACH regulation.

Objectivs and results of the project

The aim of the project was to obtain a feedback from the e-learning users on possibilities to improve the tool. A testing phase was conducted in cooperation with representatives from companies and comments were collected. The e-learning was evaluated as a useful tool and its further development was supported.
