Stakeholder Dialogues on Nanotechnologies of the German Environmental Ministry 2013-2015 (FKZ: UM 13 61 301)

Background

In the context of the nano actionplan the German Government created the German NanoCommission in 2006. This central dialogue platform should support the sustainable and responsible use of nanotechnologies by promoting an information and experience exchange on risks and opportunities of this technology between the different stakeholder groups.

The NanoCommission worked in two dialogue phases, 2006-2008 and 2009-2011 and developed recommendations to the German Government. The dialogue was continued in 2011 and 2012 with 2-day expert dialogue conferences.

Project aims and expected results

During the years 2013 and 2015 another four 2-day expert dialogues were conducted. The organisation, preparations and follow-up as well as the facilitation of these conferences was the aim of this project. The conferences had different topics and are documented in short reports.
