The environmental transformation of E-Commerce: New challenges for the environmental policy promotion of sustainable consumption (FKZ: 3719 11 302 0)

The project "Greening E-Commerce" analyses social drivers and ecological implications of E-commerce and identifies approaches to achieve a more ecologial development of E-commerce. Based on an in-depth analysis of the four elements of online trade: logistics, shipping packaging, consumer and waste recycling, three scenarios for possible futures of "E-Commerce" are developed. The project will result in a roadmap for a greener future in e-commerce.
