Organisation, conduction and documentation of the 5th national REACH Congress
The aim of the project was to support the German Federal Institute for Occupational Safety and Health Authority (BAuA) in the organisation and documentation of the 5th national REACH congress.
The thematic focus of the Conference was placed on the interplay between REACH and occupational safety and health (OSH). Presentations introduced how authorisation and restriction support the implementation of OSH policies as well as the interlinks between safety data sheets and the workplace risk assessment. Furthermore, the EU context was illuminated by pointing out interlinks between the Chemicals Strategy for Sustainbility and the EU Strategic Framework on OSH as well as the REACH review and the work priorities of the German Competent Authorities.
The conference was organised as a hybrid event. More than 1000 participants from Germany, the EU and non-EU countries joined the lifestream of the event. Appr. 10% of the participants provided input to the dicussions via an online survey run in parallel to the conference.
