In this work package of the project “Advancing REACH” socio-economic analyses and pertaining RAC and SEAC opinions were analysed regarding their systematic/structural deficits. First, a comprehensive analytic framework was developed to assess completeness and quality of the information provided by authorisation applicants and to qualify how RAC/SEAC considered this information in their opinion forming. This included their handling of data gaps and uncertainties.
The results of this work package are the analytical framework for the assessment of SEAs and 27 case studies for different substances. The latter will be used by the national authorities to derive improvement proposals for SEAs and particularly the handling of such documents by SEAC and RAC.
